Hi my name's Holly and I am 13. I really want to help save the Arctic because it is melting. Scientists predict that in about ten years it will be gone if we keep the global warming up how it is. On this blog I will give small, but helpful tips on how you can help save the Arctic. I will also give you more reasons why you should help save it. Thankyou for reading!

Hi, my name's Holly and I am 13. I have recently seen a movie about the Arctic and it inspired me to create this blog. I really want to help save the Arctic.

Did you know that scientists think that if we keep the global warming up how it is the Arctic will disappear in around 10 years? You might think that it is just a big block of ice somewhere around the top of the earth, but there is actually a lot of life on there. The only place for Polar Bears to live is in the Arctic, so if it disappears, they will too. If you don't have solar panels, turning off your lights is a small step forward to helping save the Arctic. If lots of people do that, it can really help.

Thank you for reading my first blog post.

  1. Its great to see someone actually looking at the small things we can do to help big problems on the other side of the planet which we are directly causing ourselves. When I read this, I realised that sometimes you really need to think about the individual animals that will be affected by climate change because that really connects you to the problem. I feel so sad for the polar bears but Im really grateful for your inspiration Holly! Thankyou!

  2. It's great that someone of your age really understands what has to be done! Wish the politicians would be as smart!
